2012-2013 Kauffman Dissertation Fellowship Program

The Kauffman Dissertation Fellowship Program is an annual competitive program that awards up to fifteen Dissertation Fellowship grants of $20,000 each to Ph.D., D.B.A., or other doctoral students at accredited U.S. universities to support dissertations in the area of entrepreneurship.

The Kauffman Dissertation Fellowship Program is one of three academic recognition programs established by the Kauffman Foundation to aid the Foundation in achieving its goal of building a body of respected entrepreneurship research and making entrepreneurship a highly regarded academic field. The other programs are the Kauffman Junior Faculty Fellowship in Entrepreneurship Research awards and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Prize Medal for Distinguished Research in Entrepreneurship.Since its establishment in 2003, this initiative has helped to launch 138 world-class scholars into the exciting and emerging field of research, thus laying a foundation for future scientific advancement. The findings generated by this effort will be translated into knowledge with immediate application for policymakers, educators, service providers, and entrepreneurs as well as high-quality academic research.
